John Altmann Report/Buttonwillow Race NEWS
December 17, 2002
By Glenn Curtiss
I was out to Southern California this past weekend
for some meetings and I got a chance to get to Buttonwillow
Raceway to watch our man John Altmann in the final SuperTT
race of the season.
Unfortunatly, he did not fare so well. John managed
to "splat" himself fairly hard on Saturday
during the practice time on the kart track. He sat out
the days races on Sunday so that he could hopefully
hang onto his surf board in a few weeks. Hopefully his
injuries will heal in time for his off season of riding
and for the beginning of the 2003 SuperBikers2, LLC
season.

NOTE: All of the quads that are participating
in the races need to have a number plate on the front
and the rear of the machine. This is along with the
numberplate areas on the rear fenders. The backgrounds
should be of contrasting color and should be easily
seen from a distance. The tech people will be calling
the shots on this as the scorers were not able to see
the numbers on a few of the quads this past Sunday.
The other issue with the quads was the headlight and
taillight on the machine. If you do not pull the lights
off, they must be covered with tape and shut off. Thanks!
