THE FIVE MINUTE BOARD
IS UP!
Here we go!
We have been getting a lot of feedback and tons of
interest in the September 7th Torque Center 100 Lap
Endurance race. Even though it's several months away,
because I'm sure we'll have many details to figure out,
we're putting up the Five minute board for reserving
a grid spot. In order to give everyone as equal a shot
at getting their team on the grid, we've cooked up the
following procedure:
In order to reserve a grid spot, you must send a letter
to me stating:
1)the members of your team
2)the bike and class you want to be slotted in (see
rules and classes)
3)number of the bike (if you need to, you can change
it later)
4)a check made out to Dave Topczewski for $15, post-dated
to August 1, 2003.
Here's the catch...the letter must be postmarked NO
EARLIER THAN SATURDAY, APRIL 12, so that the out-state
guys have an equal chance. If any entry is postmarked
before, it'll get put in line with Tuesday's entries.
I will pick up the entries on Monday and fill the grids
i the order the entries come in till the grids are filled.
We'll take 16 teams and 1 or 2 alternates for the big
wheel and small wheel grids. We will not attempt to
balance the grids between stock and modified, so you
may see 11 stockers and 5 modifieds in the grid, but
such is life. First come, first reserved... As far as
the overall cost, it'll be $75 per team per race. The
$15 reserves the grid spot and you'll pay the remaining
$60 at the gate on Sunday. (where are you going to have
so much fun for the price of a Saturday night binge?)
If you have buddies who are interested, please have
them e-mail me with their names, bikes and phone numbers.
