SuperMotard Race Planed for our 2003 Los Angeles Calendar
Motorcycle Show Weekend
Dec 9th: FastDates.com and Corona Extra Suzuki were
excited to announce this past weekend at the Cycle World
International Show in Long Beach their plans to feature
an International caliber SuperMotard
race weekend in conjunction with the Los Angeles Calendar
Motorcycle Show on July 19-20th, 2003 at the Queen Mary
Event Park in Long Beach.
On display in the large FastDates.com Calendar feature
exhibit at the Cycle World Show with top calendar bikes
and the beautiful calendar models was the new FastDates.com
sponsored Corona Extra Suzuki DR400 supermotard bike
which former AMA National Motocross Champion Jean Michelle
Bayle will possibly be racing at selected international
events in 2003, including the Los Angeles Calendar Motorcycle
Show weekend. Bayle was in Los Angeles this past weekend
to test and set up the bike with the Corona Extra team
at the Streets of Willow Springs Raceway, where on the
asphalt road course Bayle was turning laps times on
the roadrace tire equipped 400c single cylinder dirt
bike that bested those being turned by a pro licensed
racer on a latest 600cc Supersport bike.
"We are really excited to be able to bring the
excitement of world caliber SuperMotard racing in 2003
to Los Angeles," said Jim Gianatsis, producer of
the Los Angles Calendar Motorcycle Show and FastDates.com
Calendars. Los Angeles is the focal point for the motorcycle
market in America, and running a SuperMotard event in
conjunction with the Calendar Bike Show will showcase
this highly exciting form of motorcycle racing before
a huge crowd of motorcycle fans, the motorcycle industry
and press, then it has ever had an opportunity to do
so before in America. It will certainly help SuperMotard
become even more popular over here stateside, just like
in Europe."
