Sport Moto machines are allowed to run in class with
the following rules:
" Open displacement two-stroke or four-stroke Single
" Standard size wheels (must have 21-inch front
wheel) and full (stock) suspension travel.
" Brake rotors, pads and lines may be upgraded,
but stock brake calipers must be retained.
" "Open traction" tire choice. DOT tires
are recommended .
Vet Open (35+)
Unlimited modifications, Open displacement Single or
Twin, Minimum age of 35 to participate.
Super Vet (45+)
Unlimited modifications, Open displacement Single or
Twin, Minimum age of 45 to participate.
DRZ Cup (Race at Briggs&Stratton Motorplex,
Road America only. 3 events)
Stock exhaust system must be used.
Jetting may be changed in the stock carburetor.
Air filter may be changed and airbox mods are allowed.
Brake lines may be changed
DOT roadrace tires can be used.
Stock front brake caliper must be used. The front brake
rotor may be replaced with a stock sized replacement.
Suspension internals may be changed.
Axle sliders should be installed
Footpeg sliders should be installed
Handguards with sliders should be installed.
Headlights, taillights, and turnsignals should be removed
or taped over with the lights unplugged
Oil drain plug should be safety wired.
Oil filler plug should be safety wired.
Coolant should be replaced with water mixed with water
wetter, any synthetic coolant approved for racing use,
or with water only.
A catch can on the carb overflow/vent lines
If possibly, a catch can on the radiator overflow. This
can be routed to the carb catch can.
